Green Church
We believe as a Church that it is our responsibility to Safeguard Gods Creation for future
generations to come. We are working alongside our Diocese to become a Greener Church
and with this in mind, we are constantly reflect on the following five areas in all we do:
Worship and teaching;
Looking after our buildings and land;
How we engage with our local community and in global campaigns; and
In the personal lifestyles choices of our congregation.

As a Parish we are working towards Environmental sustainability withing our Churches (St Margaret’s in High Halstow and All Saints in Allhallows). Acting responsibly in order to preserve Gods creation and avoid jeopardising the ability for future generations to meet their needs. Please see our associated Green Pages to learn more about how we are working towards achieving this.
Green Action
Recycle
As a Church, we have joined the local Environmental Group in High Halstow: We are supporting where we can for example, with recycling awareness activities. And we now have a Blisher Pack Collection Point, which is just outside St Margaret's Church
Reduce
We are looking at ways to reduce waste in our Community. One idea is to set up a local food sharing page (on this site), where we can exchange unwanted/surplus foods for free
Replace
Sustainability is considered in all our projects. Currently we are looking at replacing /repairing our existing Lead roof with the more sustainable material Glass Reinforced Polyester (GRP)
Re-Use
We are using our Churches for not just Church services, but for other community beneficial events. For example In October 21, St Margaret's hosted four Art & Craft Exhibitions where local Artists were able to exhibit their arts and crafts for free
